We have a 100-page document in Apple Pages which we would like to turn into an eBook in PDF and EPUB formats. The document includes about 40 embedded MP3 files, and when exporting to EPUB these work fine, being playable from within the document. However, Pages' PDF export does not support these.
I know it is possible to produce a PDF which has pla...yable audio embeds (at least when viewed in Adobe Reader), as we have had this done on previous projects.
We are looking for someone who can take our document (as EPUB, Pages file, or Pages' exported PDF) and produce a PDF equivalent which includes the playable audio clips. We can supply the source MP3 files separately if necessary.
I believe this should be a quick and easy task for somebody with the right tools and experience with embedding audio in a PDF - but please let me know if you disagree!
If you need any more details to make a bid on this job, please let me know.

We require the services of a meticulous person who is fluent in file conversions from InDesign into ePub. The document is a Cookbook so approx. 50% of the content are jpegs and there are lots of coloured text headings, sub headings and numbered lists that will need to be formatted correctly.
We are very particular and expect the fo...rmat and layout to be of an extremely high standard. You must be ok with doing revisions until we are happy. There is no need to edit the actual content of the book, this has already been done.

You must also have strong communication skills and excellent English.
The ePub file you deliver must be able to work on a variety of readers including iPad's and be verifiable.

I'm overwhelmed! My eBook formatting business has never been better, and I need to outsource a couple projects in order to keep up with things.
This particular project is a series of several Word documents (and one PDF), many with complex formatting, that need to be reformatted to be a single ePub/Kindle book (2 files, of course). There are tables... that need to be converted to paragraph format, colored text, blank lines between paragraphs (instead of proper formatting), floated images (which may look better in tables), numbered lists, bulleted lists, bulleted lists that are just bullets followed by the text, lots of tabs, text boxes that really shouldn't be text boxes, forms that need to reproduce nicely (obviously not as real forms), decorative bullets that need to be replaced with regular bullets ... basically, if it can cause a problem in an eBook conversion, this book's got it. There are approximately 67,000 words between all the documents that will form the final eBook.
Deliverables should include three files:
1) A Word file (if you produce one in the course of the conversion)
2) An ePubCheck-valid ePub file
3) A .mobi KF8 file
I will test the files on a series of 9 platforms to ensure cross-platform compatibility (6" Kindle, Nook Color, Nook Tablet, Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD, iPad Mini, Adobe Digital Editions, Kindle for PC, Samsung Galaxy S5 Phone).
Samples of the Word files will be made available to candidates who make the short list for consideration.
This is a sub-contract job, so you may not use this book as a portfolio item--it is to be completely confidential.

Word - $0.20 pp
PDF - $0.22 pp
3 day tat:
Word - $0.29 pp
PDF - $0.32 pp
Revisions - 1 set foc - turnaround 24-48 hours.
Linking index entries, we will charge $0.05 per link.
Guidelines to follow:
- Please include all fron...t and end matter in the ToC and NCX.
- Set the Mobi to open on the first page please
- Ensure no images exceed 2m pixels

Hello AtriTeX team,
As discussed, I have an approximately 19000 word ebook on meditation that I will need formatted. I would prefer we keep the Arial font style and the format of a couple of the pictures, but other than that, I'm open to any changes. There are a couple photos/charts but this should not be a complicated job.
I will need a clicka...ble Table of Contents created. I would like the book to be formatted in epub and mobi versions. I will be uploading these onto the Amazon and Smashwords platforms.
I will send you the rough draft as soon as the job is accepted. I am aware you will need the cover as well, however that is still being finished. As soon as it is done, I will send it to you.
Ideally, I would like this completed in one week (provided the cover gets completed in a timely fashion). Please let me know if that's okay with you.

We are looking for designers who have experience setting up Book Templates for InDesign and Microsoft Word. We are additionally looking for that person to convert (in the future) the completed template/book to epub and mobi. All book templates must meet specificiations for createspace submission.

You must have some additional technical knowledge: there are gifs in the book that need to be displayed in certain instances.

Createspace in paperback: 5.5 x 8.5 in...ches trim size
All will be colour covers, with B&W interiors. Page length for this book is approx 80 pages on createspace's editor.
I will attach the design brief, which includes sketches of the front and back covers that I desire. I will also attach the relevant logos for the back cover once the job workroom is open.
*Note that Elance would not accept a price below $20, so I put in our agreed rate of $15 by using the hourly rate function - 3 x $5. I trust this is ok with you.
