Job Details
We have 1 e-book in PDF formatwe require to be converted to kindle. The book has many pictures and about 300 pages. We need someone to take the PDF or he indesign file and make it in a format that will be perfect for kindle and to upload the files to Amazon.
Basically you will need to copy and paste the text pictures into another document without... the page numbers and chapter headings and then reconvert to PDF or .mobi before you upload to amazon.
WOULD LIKE TO PAY $50 PER BOOK. WE HAVE DOZENS OF THESE TO BE COMPLETED. SO BID FOR THIS SHOULD BE $50.
NOTE: Kindle books ignore page numbering (because the reader can adjust fonts to 6 different sizes, page numbers make no sense. Kindle uses only one font Ceacilia.)
Converting directly from PDF to html (to be accepted by Kindle) creates lots of 'garbage' in the code - what's not properly read by the Kindle. Better results are if it's converted from the original or from PDF specially prepared for that matter. However in each of the situations, the code needs cleaning and images need to be prepared for Kindle and linked, TOC need to be created too. Even then, you won't get exactly the style as in the original. Kindle publishing is still in it's beta stage.

I need someone to convert a 200-page PDF to Kindle 2.0 format. I am able to provide this book in PDF file. It is primarily text but does have 10 images within the book that needs to be placed correctly.
I am looking for a better-than-average conversion. I do not want a sloppy conversion where the appearance looks bad. Accuracy matters.
When ...you are done with the file, I will be inspecting every word, page, and image for accuracy. I am also looking for someone who has good prior feedback in doing PDF to Kindle conversion.
Doing a good job means more projects and excellent feedback from me.
I will not accept anyone who does not have good prior feedback. I expect that there will be good communication and turnaround time.
This is a strictly work-for-hire project. You will have no ownership, rights, or claims to this project at any time.
Budget is tight. If I do not see a bid I like, no one will get the job.

Part 1: We have book content formatted in Microsoft Word. We need this content exported to a PDF which conforms to Lightning Source's guidelines. This will be a cut and paste operation requiring little to... no editing.
Part 2: We need a cover designed for each book. We will provide the cover image(s), desired fonts, desired text, text placement guidance, our logo, and ISBN number.
The output should be two PDF files that comply with LSI's file creation guidelines.

I have RTF documents that I need converted into ePub format. I can do it myself using the Calibre software, but the formatting doesn't turn out properly. I need page breaks between chapters, a proper cover image, etc...
Over the next two weeks I will have about 100 documents that need to be converted. I have attached one sample RTF d...ocument with cover image (all of the eBooks will be kind of like this). And they must be properly formatted to be read on Sony eBook Readers.

PREPARE COVER AND TEXT FILES FOR PRINTER (Lightning Source)
Description:I am an author almost ready to send my files to my printer, Lightning Source (LSI). I used WINDOWS to create these files.
Since I'm a writer and NOT a graphic designer, I was able to create the text using Adobe InDesign CS3 with the proper margins, etc. for this 5 x 8 ...book. No problem.
I also designed and laid out the cover in CS3; it incorporates text, a professionally designed logo (I have the all the files for logo, which include CMYK, eps, etc.) and blocks of color which feature simple knocked out type.
I need someone to
1) ensure all fonts are provided and embedded for the text and to upload the text file according to the LSI specs.
2) make this cover comply with the LSI specs (or to use their cover template tool) I need someone to add bleeds, make the spine measure exactly, include/embed all fonts and ensure the colors are cmyk and 300 dpi.
Again, I did the text and cover in WINDOWS, and InDesign CS3.
I will provide a link to the LSI specs, and the cover generating tool, along with my files.
Ideally, I would like someone who has prepared finished files and uploads for LSI in the past. If you haven't, perhaps you can tell me why you can do the job.

I have a template for the book cover; all books will have the same cover. Only the title and the bar code will need to be changed. Also the spine size of the book will need to be adjusted to the pag...e count of each book.
All the pdfs will need to be resized to 6 X 7.5. Each title will need small adjustments done to them, maybe a page or two removed thing like that. I do not have a time table on this project due to the very large amount of work I have. The best way to price this job maybe by each pdf that is finished. The avg. time so far to complete a pdf is one hour.

I need 17 pages (50)KB of content that is currently in Microsoft Word to be converted to fillable PDF forms that will be downloadable and they will be able to save the PDF on their computer only using the free downloadable reader from Adobe. There needs to be radio buttons, my logo (which I will provide), ample space for the answering of questions..., and a header at the bottom of each page with my company banner hyperlinked to my Website. I would also like to have a choice of colors for the page and buttons etc...
I would like a provider who will be flexible enough that once the work is done, I can review it and make necessary changes (within reason).
Should this go well there will be quite a bit of additional and ongoing work.
