My co-Author of the pig book just finished his novel and is having it edited. We want to publish it to ibookstore like we did with the pig book and need it converted. Just need a quote at this stage. I have an epub .xhtml file that needs general clean-up with a little formatting work. General formatting is about 85-90% complete, the only problem that appears is within the section titles.
The book is a quote book that has approximately 50 sections/parts. The file currently exists as 1 .xhtml file but I wish for each of the 50 sections to appear... as it's own chapter in the epub and kindle files.
The cover will also need to be added.
Require that the final file be in both epub and kindle formats.
This book is published/ printed so I can provide a .pdf file as a general format guide (see attachment for example).
6x9 book approx 170 pages and 22,000 words.

I am the co-author of a small humor book that is published in paper and ebook format. We would like to convert the book from pdf to epub so it can be sold on ibooks. We can use calibre to convert the text, but we need someone to clean up the minor errors, insert the graphics into the appropriate place and make sure the headings and motivational q...uotes look good.

Iniitially we would like to offer Kindle conversion services and then ePub conversion. Since my production staff is swamped with current work, I was thinking of... outsourcing this function. Please let me know if this is work you would like to do on an ongoing basis.
1.) Our clients provide us books in either Word or .pdf format.
2.) Need quote breakdown based on number of pages. You can decided what the logical breaks our.
3.) Need turnaround time

I am looking for someone who is able to convert my already existing ebook (Cover, Content, Graphics, etc available in PDF and Indd) into html in order to make it available for Kindle, ePub, Sony, iPAD, and the iPhone.
The book has 104 Pages from which approximately 40 pages are pictures.
(Some screenshoots, some created in Illustrator.
I publishe...d the ebook in English as well as in German and would also like to convert both language versions of these ebooks into html (the number of pages as well as the number of pages with pictures is the same).
Regarding formatting for Kindle:
The whole book needs to be in simple HTML. "Simple" means keeping CSS style sheets to a minimum (kindle will ignore most style sheet tags except for p line spacing and h1,h2 h3 size and size specifications. And no Java, no javascript, no flash, no XML, etc. There are a few special tags that Kindle looks for in the code that you need to know about (e.g., toc,start,cover). Images are a hassle also. The best way to get Kindle to accept them "as is" and not try to convert them in any way is to use photoshop to prepare them all as gray-scale 450 x 550 Gif images, 62KB or less each.
In case you would like to make an offer, please state also the approximate time needed.

The source data is in InDesign and Illustator.

Job Details
We publish a directory entitled The American Bar which is essentially a listing of law firms around the world, information about the firms, their branch offices, their attorneys and biographical information about the attorneys. The directory is published as either a 1 volume or 2 volume set (depending on the page count). We refer to this as the mai...n volume (MV). We also publish an abridged reference book containing a watered down version of the content in the MV which we call the Handbook (HB).
The data which feeds the directory is in an Access 2003 database. We would like proposals on 2 options. Option A would be the development of an application which we can run in our office that will create high-res PDF files from the Access database which can be given to the printer to print the book(s). Option B would be a one time output of the high-res PDF files. That is, we would send you the Access 2003 database and you would create the PDF files and forward to us.
The MV contains 8 sections. A separate high-res PDF file should be created for each section. MV Section V might need to be divided into 2 sections and hence, 2 PDF files for MV Section V might be required depending if we end up with 1 or 2 volumes for the MV.
The HB contains 5 sections. All sections can be created in one, single high-res PDF file or in 5 different PDF files. It is your choice.
Sample pages from each section of the MV and HB from the 2009 edition are attached. If you are interested in this project, please let us know what kind of experience you have working on projects like this, what software tools you would use to complete it, what process you would follow, an approximate price range and time frame for the project. We will then forward you more detailed specifications about the pages, a sample database and the differences that exist between the sample pages from the 2009 edition and the 2010 edition.
