This is my first attempt at self publishing and I now have the story and illustrations ready to get the book ready to sell on amazon kindle and create space. However after the restricted time period i would like to be able to offer it as downloadable for ipad etc also.
I need the file to be in the correct size and layout ready for retailer...s on createspace to print and on kindle to download.
I do not totally understand the in's and out's of the process so if you are very knowledgeable on these areas this would be a huge benefit to me as i am aware amazon put restrictions on offering the book to other online retailers.
The book is a rhyming picture book about meerkats and has 22 pages, a cover and back page so 24 in total I believe however if this needs to be more or less I am still in contact with the illustrator. I am not sure on the book size as i am still working out the royalties agreement on amazon create space.
I may need 2 separate file size for kindle and createspace as one is printed and one has to be viewed through kindle but im hoping you can help me with this.
There will be more future books so more work for you.

- The new cover, where we need to add the second author's name, please: "Victoria Ipri", just above Austin Briggs (may need to move the author names down a little to fit). Also, could you please draw a thin gray outline around the cover so it stands out better on Amazon's white pages?
Would appreciate your help to convert the new file into PDF, EPUB and MOBI, please. How much would this cost?

This project is a children's book with a few sentences up to one-two paragraphs of text per page and one image per page. Intended layout is very simple - with text above and sometimes below a picture.
Existing PDF file has a total of 33 pages (including a cover), functional TOC, dedication, title and a copyright page. There are a total of 28 imag...es - 28 other pages in the book (available as 300 dpi JPGs or embedded in PDF file). I made my own ePub file but was not happy with the outcome thru Kindle Previewer - that's when I realized that I need a fixed layout.
I would like to stay close to the PDF layout, for publishing on Kindle and for portrait viewing (as there are quite a few vertical images), with ability to zoom into text but nothing else special. There were very thin borders (can be a few pixels) added to images during PDF file creation, so that images don't disappear into the white background). And there were also two frames added to the last two BIO pages to portraits (which can be redone to something similar, as those frames are not part of the original images, unless they can be used from PDF).
My understanding is that I will be uploading a cover separately on Amazon, and the internal cover will be generated then - KDP rep contacted me and advised not to have a MOBI file for uploading my book, but instead having an ePub file to convert thru KIndle Previewer (hope that works with a fixed layout).

My books are full of photos, captions, sidebars, callouts and many chapter breaks. I'm looking for somebody or a team that will do a conversion and actually try to make the ePub and Modi files reader friendly. I am NOT interested in a auto conversion. I have 100's of books to convert to Standard Reflowable ePub and Mobi formats.

Typesetting a book of approximately 12,000 words (print only for now). It has no photos, but there needs to be a small ornament at the beginning of each chapter (I hope to provide it, but may nee your designers to come up with something) and maybe a decorative line at the bottom of each page. I would like to use Palatino Linotype for the body font.... I haven't decided about the header font yet.

We are a small publishing house looking for a pro Word-to-Kindle converter to take word files and turn them into kindle ready Mobi files that are ready to upload to Amazon's Kindle.
We would like to start with 1 job and see how it works out from there.
The document we need converted is about 41,000 words with 8 color images in Jp...eg format.
H1 and H2 tags are already added to this document, so you won't need to add them.
What you will need to do:
--Manually edit and convert the file (no automated software like Kinstat Formatter or Word Crusher)
--Check for layout and formatting errors and correct them
--Check for compatibility on all kindle devices (using kindle previewer)
--Add clickable table of contents
--Compress and add images correctly
--Check all links within the document
--Return an error free kindle ready file ready for upload
Please submit your bid with the following:
1- Samples or links for previous work
2- Turnaround time
3- Pricing
4- Start your bid with the word "Green Tangerine"

I'm looking for someone to help complete InDesign work over the next four weeks. Specifically I will be looking for someone to layout the interior of a book. I have several book that will need to be done, where the average page lenght will be 200.
I can give you a premade Indd file with paragraph styles, margins etc all completed. You will be... required to flow the relevant word document(s) through the book.
You should be familiar with working with masters, pages and TOC in InDesign. I'm an expert with InDeisign and familar with all aspects of this project and can help out as needed. A sample completed file will also be given if required.
Right now Im looking for a base quote on a 200 page book (we can scale this up or down as needed) and also checking for the availability of suitable candidates. You can expect to start next week sometime so please let me know your availability.
Additionally NDA's will have to be signed prior to receiving materials.
