I'll e-mailed you directly regarding this, but just in case, I'll also post this here. I have another ePub editing job for you. This time it's for one book for another author, but fortunantely less complicated than the previous books you worked on.
I would need the following fixes to the code:
1. Table of Contents set up. There would ...be five chapter destinations in the ToC: Prologue, Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Epilogue
2. Several editing corrections within the book which I will send you in precise detail and accompanying screen captures once you accept the job. These involve: adding a line break in three locations; fixing one typo; adding a dingbat in one location, fixing a quotation mark in one location.
3. There is an issue in several areas with italics displaying with uneven kerning. I've checked the original document and I believe this issue may be caused depending on the e-reader. I'm not sure what the solution is, but if you could check this that would be great. Maybe something to do with hyphenation preferences?
4. Finally, if you could doublecheck the code for any problems which would cause iBookstore to reject the final ePub, that would be great.

I outline the highest priority job below, and am asking for a bid on this job. ...If it is acceptable, we will go forward without inviting any other contractors.
Here is what we need:
We have an e-book on Amazon Kindle, and it has some problems with it. This current version we created many years ago, in-house. We are not professionals, so it needs fixing to make it into a high-quality e-book.
I will spell out the changed it needs below. Our goal is to fix the problems and make it an excellent e-book, to match the quality of our print book.
Book Title:
Heart of the Mind: Engaging Your Inner Power to Change with NLP Neuro-Linguistic Programming
It is 270 pages, including Front Matter.

We have an HTML file of the current e-book, which I am attaching, so you can see what we are starting with.
Here are the problems with the current e-book file which we would like to have fixed:
1) All of the running heads and page numbers from the print book were left in. These need to be removed. Also, there appear to be hard page breaks where many of the pages ended in the print book. These need to be removed.
2) The Table of Contents looks bad now. Please make it look nice for Kindle. We want each chapter number to appear flush left, and then to have the chapter title after the number--as is usual. Right now it looks like there are some extra indents coded in there, and extra space after each number. I think you will see what I mean. Please make it formatted in a way that Kindle readers will like it.
Also page numbers in the table of contents need to be removed.
3) There are approximately 10 places where something in the text needs to be changed. A few are misspelled words. Several are blocks of text that are in the wrong place and need to be moved--usually to a place a few lines earlier. I have attached a Word document that has each of these changes indicated using "comments" in Word. In the print book, these corrections are on the following pages: P. 55, 61 & 62, 72, 89, 92, 153, 216. Perhaps it will be easiest if you make these corrections BEFORE removing page numbers & running heads, so you can find them easily?
4) Please add in formatting lines above and below about 5 outlines in the book, to set them off. I will send you a list of where these are located.
5) Add "NLP" to book title (on the "Title Page" only, not on the cover. Cover will remain the same.)
New book title: "Heart of the Mind: Engaging Your Inner Power to Change with NLP Neuro-Linguistic Programming"
6. We expect to leave the index out. It is included now. We would ask your advice on this. It probably has no use in the e-book.

If you can do these changes in the HTML file, this may be an advantage for us over a .mobi file, because then we can make other minor changes later on if we need to.

Hello,
I have worked with your before and would like to see your offer on this small project. In the next few weeks, I will have several ebooks projects and I want to start with this small one.
I need you to help me format a very short guide of 8 pages. You should format it using an existing InDesign template (see attached).
So the task is:
1.... Create an ebook from the attached Word file. Use the attached InDesign template.
2. Use the attached "frontpage.jpg" file as the illustration for the front page and make the front page follow the front page template from the InDesign file.
3. Write this title on the front page: "Get Started With LinkedIn" and write this as sub-title "A Guide by ConsultingFact.com"
4. Make sure you include ConsiltingFact.com logo on the front page (find it in InDesign template)
5. Rest of the guide should contain the text from Word file with nice setup. Use ONE COLUMN of text and not two like in the InDesign file.
6. Include the attached 4 photos (photo 1-4) on other pages in the guide to make the guide look nice. Each of these photos should only fill about 1/4 of the page as they are only included for visual purposes. Make some nice design around these photos that fits with the template
7. Make sure you make nice formatting for the questions (titles) in the guide
8. There is no table of contents or empty pages after the front page. So the page count is 1) front page, 2) content
Please provide me with a price for this small project. Make sure that the price is including any feedback loops so that we can finalize the guide and make it ready for publication.

2. Use the attached "frontpage.jpg" file as the illustration for the front page and make the front page follow the front page template from the InDesign file.
3. Write this title on the front page: "Get Started With LinkedIn" and write this as sub-title "A Guide by ConsultingFact.com"
4. Make sure you include ConsiltingFact.com logo on the front page (find it in InDesign template)
5. Rest of the guide should contain the text from Word file with nice setup. Use ONE COLUMN of text and not two like in the InDesign file.
6. Include the attached 4 photos (photo 1-4) on other pages in the guide to make the guide look nice. Each of these photos should only fill about 1/4 of the page as they are only included for visual purposes. Make some nice design around these photos that fits with the template
7. Make sure you make nice formatting for the questions (titles) in the guide
8. There is no table of contents or empty pages after the front page. So the page count is 1) front page, 2) content
Please provide me with a price for this small project. Make sure that the price is including any feedback loops so that we can finalize the guide and make it ready for publication.
